When my roomate and I first moved into our apartment a few months ago, we knew the place wouldn't be a true bachelor's pad without a big ass TV. So, after doing tons of research, I finally got the Panasonic 42px60u 42" plasma. From all the reading I did, I determined that the Panasonic was the best bang for the buck out there. Our couch is only about 8 feet away so you can really see all the HD detail.
The next thing to do is either wall mount the badboy or get a nicer stand. Our stand right now is super ghetto fabulous Ikea.
One real-wood table and the black one is a cheap fake-wood kind. Basically if an earthquake comes, sayonara plasma.
Anyways, for anyone reading this that hasn't stepped up to HD yet, do it now. Even if you don't watch a lot of TV, what you do watch will blow you away.

Why the strobe light in the back? You and your roommate gay?....
Haha, actually a lot of ppl are like
when they first see it. It's my roomate Richard's. Actually I think it's a blacklight and a strobe combo from back during his raving days in college.
Yes, your plasma is pretty sweet. Pretty reasonable price too. I'm in the market for one, and this is at the top of my list right now...
Nice TV dude
Get an Avia DVD and get the colors/brightness set up perfectly, it will blow you away. You could use mine if Rishi hadn't lost it :D. Love the Panny plasmas!
